How You Will Be Assessed
As you build your house design in Sketchup, please show me that you can do the following:
- Build to scale. (I should not see steps that are 100 feet tall or pools that are 500 feet deep.)
- Incorporate architectural ideas that you found in example online house designs. (This could include pillars, porches, fireplaces, decks, unique house layouts, etc.)
- Create a detailed model. (Show me that you put a lot of though and effort into your design. Anyone can build a rectangular house, add a roof, and throw on a door and a couple of windows. Move beyond the simple and aim for the complex.)
- Create a house design that is well-organized and neatly put together. (Your design should be flush, square, and evenly built. I don't want to see steps that are uneven, chimneys that tilt, extra lines or shapes in your design, etc.)
