Part 1: Presentation Project ("All About Me" Slideshow)
In your Google Drive account, you will create a new Presentation document and name it: All About Me. Your presentation will consist of a title slide & five information slides that are all about you. Remember that each slide should be about 50% written information and 50% visuals. Below are some suggestions of slides you can do for this project.

Part 2: Word Processing Project
After signing into your Google account, go to Google Classroom and use the class code 2vt3zs to join the 7th Grade Computer class.
You will then be able to access any future projects (like the two listed below) when I post them. Upon completion of each project, be sure to hit the "TURN IN" button so I can receive them for grading..

Part 3: Spreadsheet Project
A. After taking the above pretest, open the Spreadsheet Project link and complete the Party Planner Quests 1-5 by following the step-by-step directions.
B. Then complete the Lucrative Lemonade spreadsheet using the example below and the Lemonade Stand link. Note: I have provided visuals of what your spreadsheets should look like when completed. Use them as a reference point for your own work. |
C. If you finish the two spreadsheet projects above, you may try your hand at creating your own battleship game, similar to the one below.
You will need to place the following ships on your spreadsheet game board:
Aircraft Carrier - 5
Battleship - 4
Submarine - 3
Destroyer - 3
Patrol Boat - 2
Spreadsheet Terms:
Spreadsheet: This is an electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations. Cell: This is each individual box on the spreadsheet. Active Cell: This is the cell that you are currently working on. Cell Reference: This is the column number and the row letter of a cell. Column: This is the vertical (up & down) reference on the spreadsheet. Row: This is the horizontal (across) reference on the spreadsheet. |
Select: This is the term for highlighting a set of cells. Sheet: This is a single page of a spreadsheet. Grid Lines: These are the horizontal and vertical lines on the spreadsheet. Auto Sum: This is a formula that will add up a column of numbers. Auto Average: This is a formula that will average a column of numbers. Sheet Tabs: These are the tabs that identify the worksheets in a spreadsheet. |
